Monday's Training Fellowship!

"Evangelism / missions cannot be organized into existence. They are born from above. They are the result of the Spirit's work in the church."
- Paul Washer
Hi everyone,
May this find you growing in your love and appreciation for Christ.
-------------------------------------------------------------
God's Word says, "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." 2 Timothy 3:12
-------------------------------------------------------------
Do you desire to live godly in Christ Jesus? Well, here is a promise of God. Let's prepare.
Next Fellowship (10/26), we'll explore...
  • What is persecution?
  • What isn't it?
  • Persecution and sharing the Good News.
  • What is the Biblical, God-empowered response to persecution?
  • Will it cause you to worship and fight for Christ's Kingdom or retreat?

Plus...

Some encouragement and training in Biblical evangelism.

The other details for this meeting are the same as the last:

Where: LIBRARY, 3rd floor at top of stairs (Then moving immediately to a study room) Email or call with questions.

When: 6pm sharp

Why: To pray to, learn from, and seek the Living God, who makes us fishers of men. To gather together, grow, and train in Biblical evangelism with fellow believers who are convinced that the Great Commission is not a matter of preference or "special calling", but a matter of joyful obedience for God's people.

Next Meeting!

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

Hi saints,

I pray this finds you growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

Here is some information about this week’s meeting:

Lesson Topics:

Justification (Part 2): We will continue our look at the nature of justification, and the Gospel of our salvation.

"A Plea for Biblically Relevant Evangelism”: We will refocus on what constitutes Biblical evangelism, and why this is different from modern trends. "What makes a Biblical witness?"

When: 6pm-8pm

Where: Campus Center, 4th floor lounge

We have little time left! Let's be bold with the Truth. Grace to you in Him, to run and finish this race.

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

NEXT Meeting!

6:30-9pm (Good Messengers Meeting)

Location: Meet on 4th floor of Campus Center, then at 6:30pm, we will relocate.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Plus: Are you preaching the Gospel to others? Are you preaching it to yourself? Gospel comes from the Greek word ευαγγέλιον (euangelion). The Greek term was Latinized as evangelium, and translated into Latin as bona annuntiatio. In Old English, it was translated as gōdspel (gōd "good" + spel "news"). So......The Gospel is NEWS!

If you don't already, consider preaching this news to yourself. If you find yourself forgetting that the Law has absolutely no power to change and sanctify you, meditate upon it untill the Law works its work in you, making sin "exceedingly sinful" through the commandment. See Romans 7:12-13. Then preach to yourself God's God-centered Good News.

"If I have observed anything by experience it is this: a man may take the measure of his growth and decay in grace according to his thoughts and meditations upon the Person of Christ, and the glory of Christ's Kingdom, and of His love." John Owen.

Having the true Gospel always in your mind and heart will bless you, and encourage you in being a pro-active witness!
