Hi CCNers,
Hopefully you had a good first week. Already I've been blessed by seeing God raise up passionate laborers with His burden for His glory and lost souls, as well as Him getting His News to people on campus.
This week's Training Fellowship, we will be revisiting an important subject, with emphasis on the practical applications and implementing it in evangelism.
When: 2pm-4pm
Where: Campus Library 4th floor
What: Who is exalted in the news we bring to people? What is the supreme motive for the sinner's repentance? Is it "fire-insurance?" Is it life-enhancement? How do we, as "ambassadors of Christ," represent Him well, and as a God both loving and "zealous for His holy Name" Ezekeil 39:25.
Why: God's glory. Our growth. "Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
"That the Lamb receive the full reward for His suffering!"
From the Field: On this big, largely commuter campus, it's hard to be aware of all God is doing. Any IUPUI CCNer- feel free to write a summary of your experiences sharing the Gospel, as well as any encouragement or lesson you'd like to pass on. Stay tuned for updates this week!
Welcome back saints,
Above is a video for you!
Our FIRST Training Fellowship will be this Monday, January 11th!
I hope you are all well and have enjoyed a break full of Christ. This semester begins shortly, and will end shortly as well. By God's grace and power in the risen Christ, may we run hard after Him, redeeming the time, and bringing His Good News to the lost while there is still time.
I look forward to seeing you on campus and at CCN. Our first fellowship will set the tone for the rest of the semester, as we consider:
-Where we stand before God
-Where we stand as evangelists
-Where to go from here?
-What can be done this semester for His glory?
-How can it be done?
-What needs to be learned and put into practice this semester?
-How did last semester go?
-What makes a Christ-like, biblical evangelist?
-And other questions worth reflecting on as we look to God and start the semester.
May we grow in joyful, genuine, radical obedience to the only Savior, Jesus, fear God instead of man, and show God's true love by seeking out the lost with the Gospel.
See you there,
JB
